How to get Smart Vehicle Identification Card?

After successful launch of Smart CNIC, chip based smart Vehicle Identification Card has just been introduced. These cards will takeover the existing vehicle registration books. This initiative has also been launched in collaboration with NADRA. It will not only good for the owner but also very helpful for law enforcing agencies.

Vehicle Identification Card

Excise and Taxation Department of Pakistan has started issuance of vehicle identification cards from 16 October, 2015. This credit card size card contains details about vehicle and its owner including; owner name, CNIC No., address, date of registration, chassis no., engine no.,  type of body, color, seating capacity, CC power, fitness examination validity, tax information and much more. All data is also stored in machine readable chip.

This new system will help to overcome the problem of stolen vehicles with fake or tempered registration books as duplication of this new smart card is impossible due to its security features.

In case the card is lost, it will be blocked immediately upon the owner complaint and a new card will be issued to the owner.

I think it will be a golden chance for those people whose car is devalued or facing problem to sell it as they have not original book and have a duplicate copy. They may be able to issue new card after depositing old duplicate registration copy and applicable fee.

Currently about 850,000 vehicles are registered with the excise department of Islamabad.

How to get Vehicle Identification Card and its Fee?

Excise and Taxation Department is issuing Vehicle Identification Cards for new vehicles at a cost of PKR 1450. 

Registration books of old vehicles can also be converted into this new card on request of the owner and upon paying the same fee as mentioned above.

Buyer of a used vehicle will also get this new card instead of traditional registration book.

Earlier this year, "Business Insider Australia" ranked SSG on 1st position. 

SSG was created in 1956. It is also known as Black Storks and Maroon Berets. Its headquarter is in Tarbela. Its total strength is about 7,000 brave men serving in 10 battalions. It has completed several successful missions in Pakistan and abroad; during peace or war. SSG commandos cut their thumb to stamp the oath form with their blood.

Another interesting thing is that India is nowhere in the list.

PIA ranked 4th in Worst National Airlines

In a two minute video by wonderfulengineering.com on its Facebook page, list of 5 worst national airlines was shared. In this video, possible reasons for inclusion of these airlines in worst airlines is also stated.
First thing to keep in mind that they included only national (state owned) airlines in this list, probably their might be many other even worst airlines than these. Secondly the criteria was based on few things; percentage of delayed flights, in-flight entertainment, Customer Service, Foods etc.

In 1970's PIA was regarded as Aisa's best airline. It was the time when PIA also provides technical and administrative assistance or leased planes to many foreign airlines including Somali Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Air Malta and Yemenia. PIA also helped establish Emirates Airlines by leasing two of its airplanes. But now PIA owned only 35 air-crafts and there are about 18000 employees.

Pakistan Stock Market has been included in World's Top-10 Stock Markets. According to details, Karachi Stock Exchange KSE 100 has been included in "Ten Best Stock Markets in the World in 2015", a report prepared by Khaleej Times. The list is prepared on the basis of returns. 

In the times when TV channels and newspapers are full of bad news, inclusion of Pakistan Stock Market in world's best stock markets is a very good sign for investors and also a good news for general public.

According to the report, Karachi Stock Exchange lost 20% of its value in February and March, but rebounded to give investors a solid 5% return on the year.

Route Map of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train

Lahore Orange Line is Pakistan's first Metro Train. Total length of the route is 27.1 km, 25.4 km of it is elevated section while 1.7 km is underground section. There will be 26 total stations. When completed it will connect Raiwind, Multan Road, Mcleod Road, UET, Lahore Junction Railway Station and GT Road. It starts from Ali Town and ends at Daira Gujran. 

This train will initially facilitate to 2.5 lakh passengers daily.

Sometimes you cannot receive your PTCL bill in time. If you don't pay it within due date, you have to pay extra money as surcharge next month. PTCL also send soft copy of bill through email. If you have not given a valid email at the time of filling connection application, you can call helpline 1218 to register your email. Once you register your email, you will get your monthly bill in your email account regularly well before the due date.

It is always a good idea to keep record of bills. So, you can download your bill for each month and keep its soft copy as a record in your computer.
